Shoppers!! This is your extraordinary opportunity to get your Christmas, birthday, anniversary, or "just because" shopping done EARLY and ALL your purchases at great prices!!! Whether it's fine jewelry, home accents, clothing, accessories, hunting and fishing gear or artwork and photography, this event has it all. Our participating stores will be stocked with new merchandise and ready to welcome shoppers for this one-day "power-shopping extravaganza!" Get a team of up to 4 shoppers, dress up team in costumes (encouraged), and compete for prizes as you shop at participating Portland stores. Registration through July 13th is $100 per team, or $35 per person for teams of fewer than 4. Don't forget your entry fee includes breakfast before hand, and refreshments at the awards ceremony afterwards.
Breakfast: 9am - 10am
Shopping Tournament: 10am - 5:00pm
Awards: 5:30-7:00pm
What is a Shopping Tournament?
Think golf tournament with a shopping twist.
Experience “shop ‘til you drop” shopping with
discounts, costumes, prizes, food, and zany fun.
Dress in costumes (encouraged) and compete
for prizes as you “play a round” of shopping.
Teams may visit the shops and preview
their merchandise before the actual tournament.
Teams will shop in as many, and all, of the OFFICIAL PARTICIPATING/SPONSOR STORES listed on our website www.portlandtx.org under events,
or click the register link below.
You may also find the QR code to the list of participants on this page. Team members may remain together as they shop or choose to do some individual shopping.
Stores and Pitshops. We will be limited to 10 Stores, and 5 Pitshops. In order to win, you must goto all the stores and at least 3 of the pitshops. The pitstops are food establisments that will have specials available for our participants to take advantage of during the day. This will give you a time to sit, rest, recoup so you can carry on!

Registration through July 9th is $75
per team, or $25 per person for
teams of fewer than 4.
Make up a theme for your team, and go all out! Get costumes, probs, etc and think OUTSIDE of the box. You never know you may win a prize for most spirit, or most money spent etc.
The more you put in the better the odds of winning.
We do suggest "pre-shopping" by going and trying on clothes etc before the day of shopping. You can't purchase anything ahead of time, but this will prevent you from wasting time trying on and getting out of costume to try on clothing. Purchases only count on the day of shopping as all receipts are turned in at that time.
There are several ways to win:
Shoppers receive a scorecard at the Breakfast (one per team). Each team keeps track of individual and team scores on the same scorecard and turns it in WITH YOUR RECEIPTS at the end of the day party – all receipts will be kept confidential and returned in the manila envelopes in which they were submitted.
There are tournament prizes for top “spending” individuals, top “spending “ teams (though no AMOUNTS will be disclosed), teams with the best team spirit/costume, and more.
The Team Spirit Awards are chosen by the Stores…..so whoop it up when you are in the stores! Stores will also be engaged because Shoppers choose the TOP THREE stores (Shopper’s Choice Award) they like most! Stores are also offering door prizes and refreshments. All winners will be announced and prizes awarded at the end of the day Party.
Shoppers are NOT allowed to use gift certificates previously purchased to make purchases that count for the shopping tournament.
